Michigan Land Trusts
Thursday, April 23 2009 08:21 PM
Hello all!
This is my first time posting, but I have been observing and reading most of the post here and find that this would be a gre3at place to learn about Land Trusts.
I currently have a company that specializes in Foreclosure Prevention. We conduct short sales (A to B/B to C) transactions using the land trust. The trust allows us to not only create a spread but it helps us out with any FHA seasoning requirements.
We were recently informed by 3 different title insurance underwriters attorney that a land trust in Michigan is not a entity that could hold title to real property and we can not use them any more. While I know that each state views trusts differently does any have any knowledge with them in the state of Michigan?
Respectfully,
Robert R.
