Management License

Friday, May 02 2008 12:52 PM

Am I required to be licensed if I am managing other people's houses or properties?  I have heard I need to be licensed, but I believe half of what I see and none of what I hear. Where can I find the statute in Illinois Law?

Check out Illinois Real Estate License Act 2000
Requires broker License
Article 1, Section 1-10 Definitions "broker"  (1), (6) and (7)
For another for compensation

Owner leasing his own property does not require license.
