land trust: how to get started
Friday, April 25 2008 01:23 PM
I bought both of your home study courses for land trusts
I have various properties in Las vegas. I want to put each one in a land trust. I need help or how and where to begin and I need a copy of a deed that will be accepted in Las Vegas, Clark County.
I live in California. Does it make sense to use a trustee in California for my Las Vegas properties?
I also have properties in California. where can I get a copy of a deed that I can use to transfer those properties in California.?
Thanks

CA Investor,
Sorry for the delayed response. We had a temporary problem with our Discussion Forum postings. All good now, tho.

I have various properties in Las vegas. I want to put each one in a land trust. I need help or how and where to begin and I need a copy of a deed that will be accepted in Las Vegas, Clark County.CONTACT THE CLARK COUNTY RECORDERS OFFICE FOR A SAMPLE. YOU MAY EVEN BE ABLE TO GET ONE ONLINE AT THEIR WEBSITE.
I live in California. Does it make sense to use a trustee in California for my Las Vegas properties?NO, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING A CALIFORNIA LAND TRUST (WHICH WOULD REQUIRE A CALIF. TRUSTEE). THIS IS ALL EXPLAINED IN OUR COURSE MATERIAL...YOU MAY WANT TO REVIEW.
I also have properties in California. where can I get a copy of a deed that I can use to transfer those properties in California.?AGAIN, TALK TO THE RECORDERS' OFFICE IN THE COUNTY IN WHICH YOU WILL BE RECORDING THE DEED. EACH COUNTY HAS THEIR OWN PICADILLOS REGARDING DEEDS.
GOOD LUCK AND STAY IN TOUCH,
Thanks
Randy Hughes
