How do I put a property in a Land Trust
Friday, April 11 2008 05:53 PM
Ok, I have read the basic and advance Land trust product you have but I have a few questions. Ok, I?m in the process of buying a duplex which I will take out a mortgage through a lender. So how do I get the property into the Land trust from here? It seems when I ask people about Land trust they all look at me crazy and don?t know what I?m talking about. So do I just tell the closing (lawyer) to deed the property into the Land trust? (I guess that mean that they will just deed the property into the trustee name right) If that?s the case all I would have to do is create the Land trust agreement between me and the Trustee.
Is there a number I can call to reach you so you can explain this process, that way I can make sure I?m doing this correctly?

A land trust is little-known, but excellent way of holding property that gives you extreme privacy.
Rest assured that hardly any Realtors are familiar with it, and even a lot of attorneys aren't that knowledgeable about it. A lot of times they'll respond and say, "Oh, you mean a living trust."
When you here that, you'll know that they don't have a clue as to what you're talking about.
This site is the best source of Land Trust information in the country!
