Setting up out-of-state LLC

Wednesday, January 03 2007 11:29 AM

Jim/Randy:
I've taken your course and have set up the DE series LLC.  Am now being given the option of using my PO Box address here in IL as the address for the LLC, or should I consider a POBox address in DE to keep w/anonymity.  Do you feel this is necessary?  It is an additional $370 to keep up a DE box - but will consider if you think necessary.

I do not think it necessary, but it would not hurt you. Technically your Registered Agent's address is in Delaware so, your LLC is located there. You could have a Delaware account with your local p.o. box as the mailing address (i like this idea) for the LLC.

I assume you mean a DE bank account with my IL PO address, right?
