Setting Goals for 2007
Monday, January 01 2007 12:11 PM
Hi All,
I had an idea and wondered if others in the group would be interested.
The idea is to set some written goals and then e-mail them to an "accountability buddy". Then, once a week, we would e-mail each other on the progress of our goals. As a side thought, some of us could set up a weekly phone meeting to talk about our goals and where they are going.
The benefits here are:
1) We would put our goals IN WRITING
2) We would have someone making us accountable for them who is as exited about success in this industry as we are
3) It would give us the chance to help others reach thier goals as well
Let me know who might be interested. I think we can make 2007 the best year for all of us.
Thank you all for this group.

Marty,
You have a great idea.
Goal setting is essential to success in the real estate investing bueinss.
Here is a good outline for goal setting:
GOAL SETTING FOR LIFE
Six Steps to Success
1) Must be in Writing
(simple one page document)
2) Must be Specific
(make manager level)
3) Must have a Time Element
(date of achievement)
4) Must have a Plan
(2) exposures a day
Attend weekly business briefing
Attend each Super Saturday
Attend National Convention
5) Pay a Price
quit bowling, viewing TV show
6) Look at Goals every single day
keep in house, car, notebook
This outline I took from the writings of Jeff Olson who is a master of personal development. Remember Goals are only wishes until they are in writing. When goals are in writing they become reality more readily.
Your ideas are good Marty.
